What is Screw Press?
Screw press is a kind of physical extrusion method for dehydration equipment, the equipment consists of the drive system, feed-in box, spiral strand, screen, pneumatic resistance device, water collection tank, rack and other parts. It is suitable for juice extraction of fruits and vegetables, pulp dehydration, organic matter dehydration (lees, tapioca residue, etc.), and dehydration of kitchen waste.
Working principle
The dewatering process of the screw press dehydrator is divided into two stages.
- The first stage uses the auger for dehydration, the auger has three sections of the transmission section, the compression section and the discharge section. The transmission section to ensure that the material smoothly enters the equipment, the spiral blade pitch and the spiral inner diameter of the dehydration section gradually become smaller, so that the transmission space gradually becomes smaller. Due to the gradual increase in pressure on the material level, forcing the material volume to shrink the squeezed water out.
- The second stage uses the resistance device for dehydration, when the material enters the into the auger discharge section. The auger will apply an axial thrust to the material to push it out of the outlet, and the material holding device pressurized by the pneumatic device will exert a reverse force on the material to be pushed out, thus forming an extrusion force to dehydrate the material in two stages.
