How It Works:

  • Rotation: The centrifuge spins the tube at high speeds, often reaching tens of thousands of revolutions per minute (RPM).
  • Separation: Due to the centrifugal force, denser particles or liquids are pushed outward toward the walls of the tube, while lighter particles or liquids remain closer to the center.
  • Collection: After the spinning stops, the separated materials can be collected from the different layers within the tube.
