1. What is Pressurized Dissolved Air Flotation?

Pressurized Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) is a water treatment technology that dissolves a large amount of air in water and then releases tiny bubbles during the decompression process to make suspended matter float to the surface and be removed.

2. Principle of pressurized dissolved air flotation

Dissolved air process Under pressurized conditions, air dissolves in water to form saturated dissolved air water. The common dissolved air pressure is 0.3-0.6MPa.
Release by reduced pressure Saturated dissolved air water enters the flotation tank through the pressure reducing valve, the pressure drops suddenly, and the dissolved air is quickly released to form tiny bubbles.
Flotation separation Tiny bubbles attach to suspended matter, reducing its density, floating to the water surface to form scum, thereby achieving solid-liquid separation.

Dissolved air flotation technology has been used in water supply and wastewater treatment in recent years. It can effectively remove the light floating flocs in wastewater that are difficult to settle.
